Samsung G800 DetailsThis is a 5 megapixel camera phone, like the G600, but the G800 has a 3X optical zoom, plus a Xenon flash. Optical zoom is a very rare thing to find in a mobile phone camera, but it is much better and clearer than the standard digital zoom found in almost everything else. | considering the the selling factor of this phone is based on its 5MP camera, this phone's camera is very good only in broad daylight and if you're only inches away from your subject. I have tried to use this phone's camera on a semi lit pool area and the pix i got was as if there is no light at all. the 2MP Dopod and the 1.3MP nokia pix looks better. Zooming capabilities are very good but really, this phone's camera is useless during night time. Playing music is great, phone ringer is great(loud) and very much better than the D900 etc. no wifi but internet browsing is good enough. applications and phone settings are pretty boring but bearable. If your not too "techy" this phone is very good. finding and pressing the space key is bothersome and may need some getting used to. the design is a bit disappointing considering that it was a lot of fun having the slim line of samsung phones and then jumping back to the thick bar type phones. this phone is like a soap bar, not even a candy bar type, very disappointing. It's prone to scratches. The key pads are good enough. You cant charge the phone while using the earpiece. the earpiece and charger port have been changed into a bit bigger port so the ones in the D900 and the likes wont fit; too bad for those loyal or almost loyal to samsung. You'll have to buy another set of car charger etc. Battery life is not too good but is better than the first slim line phones. it would have been even nice if it's a touch screen phone but will still not be good enough. | ||
